Creative Restaurant Interior Design

The Burger Maker is a modern restaurant interior design project created for a new halal burger place located in El Born, one of Barcelona’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The objective was to design a creative and welcoming restaurant that felt clean, minimalist, accessible, and visually memorable without losing its casual atmosphere.

Because of the restaurant’s location in the heart of Barcelona, understanding the local food scene and customer expectations became an essential part of the design process. The concept was developed around the idea of creating a burger restaurant with a strong visual identity while maintaining a relaxed and approachable experience.

As the project started from scratch, INSAYN also developed the brand image, logo, and graphic applications in order to create a coherent identity between the interior design and the restaurant’s communication.

Green naturally became the main corporate color, inspired by the visual codes associated with halal food and freshness. This color was integrated throughout the restaurant interior to create contrast, rhythm, and a distinctive atmosphere.

Every element of the space was custom designed specifically for The Burger Maker, from the furniture to the lighting pieces and signage details. Michelle Lopez, co-founder, architect and interior designer at INSAYN, explains:

“We really enjoyed creating and producing many of the elements ourselves — from the furniture to the painted table numbers and signage. The project became a fully immersive design experience.”

Wood was used extensively throughout the restaurant to reinforce the natural and authentic character of the space. Combined with the bold colored ceiling and minimalist materials, the result is a contemporary burger place interior that feels both playful and carefully curated.

According to Célia Antunez, co-founder and interior designer:

“The team kept asking if we were really sure about the ceiling color. We never doubted it.”
