Bar Interior Design

The Supermercat is a creative bar interior design project located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Hidden behind the façade of an ordinary supermarket, this immersive concept transforms a forgotten space into a contemporary speakeasy where music, atmosphere, and design merge into a unique nightlife experience.

The project was conceived as a sensory journey inspired by underground electronic culture, mystery, and discovery. From the very first moment, visitors are invited to cross the boundary between reality and imagination through a hidden entrance leading into an intimate and carefully curated environment.

The interior design concept revolves around the interaction between geometry, lighting, colors, and sound. Every detail of the space was designed to create visual tension, movement, and emotional immersion while reinforcing the hidden identity of the bar.

Inside The Supermercat, vibrant lighting compositions, reflective materials, and dynamic patterns transform the atmosphere throughout the night. Ambient lights interact with textures and architectural elements to create constantly evolving visual experiences synchronized with the music and energy of the venue.

The space was designed not only as a cocktail bar, but as a complete experiential environment where each area reveals a different atmosphere and spatial identity. Every corridor, corner, and hidden transition contributes to the immersive storytelling of the project.

A central part of the concept is dedicated to music culture. The DJ booth becomes one of the focal points of the bar, bringing new energy and identity to the space every night through changing electronic music performances and live sets.

The project also includes a more intimate hidden area known as the “Cold Room”, conceived as an exclusive space within the bar experience. Through lighting, materials, and atmosphere, this secondary room intensifies the immersive identity of the venue while creating a more private and emotionally charged environment.

The combination of industrial textures, creative lighting design, immersive circulation, and sensory storytelling transforms The Supermercat into more than a bar — it becomes a spatial experience designed to surprise, intrigue, and leave lasting memories.
