Poke Bowl Restaurant Design

Pokawa Via Laietana is a poke bowl restaurant design project developed for the second Barcelona location of the well-known French restaurant chain. Following the identity created for the first Pokawa in Spain, INSAYN designed a new space capable of preserving the brand’s DNA while introducing a more immersive and playful interior experience.

Located in the heart of Barcelona on the iconic Via Laietana avenue, the project transforms a compact commercial space into a vibrant and energetic restaurant environment inspired by color, movement, and social interaction.

The concept behind the project was to reinterpret the visual identity of Pokawa through an INSAYN perspective, maintaining the brand’s recognizable colors, selected materials, and furniture elements while integrating expressive shapes, curves, and dynamic compositions throughout the restaurant interior.

Despite its smaller dimensions, the space was carefully designed to maximize customer experience and create a strong visual impact from the very first moment. The restaurant layout was optimized to improve circulation, reinforce comfort, and encourage social interaction while preserving the fluid and relaxed atmosphere associated with the Pokawa universe.

Colors, forms, and custom-designed details play a central role throughout the project. The interior design was conceived as an immersive environment where branding, atmosphere, and customer experience merge into one cohesive spatial identity.

Every furniture piece and architectural element was developed specifically for the project in order to create a unique and recognizable restaurant experience while maintaining coherence with the broader Pokawa brand identity.

The visual atmosphere of the restaurant was designed to feel playful, energetic, and welcoming, transforming the space into more than just a place to eat. INSAYN approached the project as a complete experiential design concept where interior architecture becomes part of the customer journey itself.
