Healthy Restaurant Design

Manduca is a healthy restaurant design project developed for a gluten-free and wellness-focused food brand in Barcelona. The objective of the project was to completely transform an existing commercial space into a modern healthy restaurant capable of reflecting the brand’s values, visual identity, and lifestyle philosophy through interior design.

More than simply creating a restaurant, INSAYN imagined Manduca as a healthy dining experience where wellbeing, atmosphere, and contemporary restaurant design come together inside a fresh, welcoming, and emotionally engaging environment.

One of the main challenges of the healthy restaurant design project was organizing different atmospheres inside a relatively compact space. INSAYN designed intimate seating corners for individual customers, more social dining areas for groups, and open layouts encouraging fluid circulation and interaction throughout the restaurant.

The restaurant layout was carefully designed to optimize customer flow, improve comfort, and create a stronger sense of openness inside the interior. Every spatial decision was developed to balance functionality, aesthetics, and customer experience within the healthy restaurant concept.

The visual identity of the project was built around a palette of greens inspired by freshness, vitality, and the natural universe associated with healthy food and wellness-oriented lifestyles. These tones were combined with warm materials and natural textures to create an atmosphere that feels authentic, balanced, and contemporary.

Every design element — from the materials and furniture to the lighting and graphic details — was carefully integrated to reinforce the healthy restaurant identity and create a coherent and recognizable customer experience.

The project combines contemporary interior design, branding, and functionality to create a healthy restaurant environment that feels modern, vibrant, and emotionally connected to the brand’s philosophy.
