Cocktail Bar Design

Pantera Mambo is a creative cocktail bar design project imagined as an immersive nightlife experience in Barcelona. Inspired by music, movement, and emotional intensity, the space was designed to transform throughout the night and fully embrace the energy of celebration.

More than a traditional cocktail bar, Pantera Mambo was conceived as a place where people could dance, share moments, disconnect from routine, and completely immerse themselves in atmosphere, sound, and light.

The concept behind the project comes directly from the song “Pantera Mambo.” At a specific moment during the night, the music takes over the space, the lighting changes entirely, and the bar transforms into a vibrant sensory experience where colors, reflections, and movement become part of the identity of the venue.

The project reflects the personalities of its founders — a mix of Mexican, French, Catalan, and Colombian influences — creating a cocktail bar interior filled with contrast, spontaneity, and expressive details.

Industrial materials became central to the design concept. Galvanized perforated grating, iron, and glass were extensively used throughout the space to create texture, transparency, and powerful lighting effects. Rather than hiding the construction elements, the project embraces raw materials and exposed structures to reinforce the bar’s strong visual identity.

Iron surfaces were specifically selected to reflect and diffuse light throughout the entire space, allowing illumination to extend far beyond the light sources themselves. Blue, orange, and green lighting compositions interact with the wavy metallic surfaces to generate constantly evolving reflections and emotional atmospheres.

The custom-designed bar, tables, and back bar were all created using galvanized perforated metal, bringing an industrial and contemporary character to the project while maintaining openness and visual rhythm inside the space.

Glass elements were integrated to enhance transparency and allow light to move naturally through the cocktail bar, reinforcing the immersive and energetic atmosphere of the project.
