Apartment Design Layout

Aticool is an apartment design layout project created for a vibrant penthouse in Barcelona. Designed for a music lover and social host, the project reflects an energetic lifestyle centered around creativity, shared moments, and the atmosphere of the city itself.

The client imagined a home where music, friends, sunlight, and relaxation could coexist naturally within one connected living space. Inspired by Barcelona’s rhythm and personality, the apartment interior design combines soft neutral tones with bold visual accents and playful architectural details.

The layout of the apartment was carefully designed to create fluid circulation between the different levels of the space while reinforcing the emotional experience of moving through the project. Every corner was conceived to feel dynamic, open, and visually connected.

Warm beige tones inspired by “café con leche” were chosen to bring elegance and simplicity into the apartment, while progressive shades of blue introduce contrast and movement throughout the space. The color palette gradually intensifies as you move upstairs, transforming into an electric blue that reinforces the energetic identity of the project.

The central feature of the apartment is undoubtedly the sculptural staircase, designed as the main architectural element of the interior. Its geometry, curves, and visual presence create a strong identity inside the space while naturally guiding circulation between the different areas of the penthouse.

Wrapped around this staircase, the apartment opens onto a rooftop terrace conceived as a private urban oasis in the middle of Barcelona. Vegetation, sunlight, outdoor relaxation areas, and a custom concrete barbecue transform the terrace into an extension of the interior living experience.

The project was designed to balance simplicity, functionality, and atmosphere while reflecting the personality and lifestyle of its owner. Every material, color transition, and spatial decision contributes to the immersive identity of the apartment.
